一种来自地球之外的神秘魔物——“灭”，入侵了地球。它们以人类的文明为食物，所到之处，皆化虚无。
全世界都在努力对抗“灭”。东方也建立了保护文明免遭吞食的组织，
并以传统节日作为他们的代号，人们称为“东之节御使”。
